Matching & Placement Policy
At Uniquesilk puppies, responsible breeding includes responsible placement.
Puppies are not allocated purely on colour preference or order of enquiry. Temperament, confidence, energy levels and individual character are carefully observed throughout the first eight weeks before matching to families.
While adult personality cannot be predicted with certainty, early behavioural patterns provide helpful indicators. We can typically distinguish between a more forward, energetic puppy and one that is naturally more observed and measured.
Placing the right puppy with the correct owner is paramount. Long-term compatibility and welfare are prioritised above preference.
Individual visits take place from six weeks of age following approval and are limited in duration to protect the litters routine and development.
Weekly updates and photographs of the litter as a whole are provided.
Puppies are ready to join their new homes at eight weeks of age. Collection is expected at eight weeks or no later than nine weeks. If collection within this timeframe cannot be accommodated, placement will not proceed.
We reserve the right to decline a reservation where we feel a placement may not be suitable in the best interests of the puppy.
No Shipping/Collection Policy
Uniquesilk Puppies does not ship, export or arrange third-party transport for puppies under any circumstances.
All puppies must be collected in person by the approved buyer from our premises in East Devon.
We do not use couriers, pet transport services, or commercial shipping agents. We believe that responsible placement includes meeting new owners in person to ensure suitability, complete documentation properly, and allow a calm and appropriate transition for the puppy.
Failure to collect in person will result in cancellation of the reservation.

The puppy will be aged over eight weeks at the point of sale.
2. Purchase Price
The total purchase price is £2,500
A structured reservation process applies, with holding and reservation payments deducted from the final balance.
The remaining balance must be paid via bank transfer prior to collection (allowing sufficient time for funds to clear) or in cash on collection. If funds have not cleared, the puppy will remain the property of the Breeder until cleared funds are received.
Full payment must be received no later than 48 hours after the agreed collection date if clearance is delayed.
3. Health
The puppy has been examined prior to sale and leaves in good health to the best of the breeders knowledge.
The buyer agrees to have the puppy examined by a veterinary surgeon within 72 hours of collection.
Any health concern must be reported immediately.
4. Insurance
The puppy leaves with four weeks’ insurance cover.
The buyer agrees to maintain adequate lifetime pet insurance (minimum £8,000 per condition or closest equivalent available).
5. Kennel Club Registration & Endorsements
The puppy is registered with the Royal Kennel Club and sold with endorsements applied.
The Buyer acknowledges that endorsements are in place to protect the Breeders bloodline and promote responsible breeding practices.
The Buyer agrees that the Royal Kennel Club endorsement form will be completed and signed.
6. Welfare & Care
The Buyer agrees to provide appropriate housing, nutrition, training, socialisation and veterinary care throughout the dog’s life.
Attendance at structured puppy training classes during the first year is required as a condition of sale.
7. Breeder Support
The Breeder remains available for guidance and support throughout the lifetime of the dog.
If at any stage the Buyer is unable to keep the dog, the breeder must be informed.
8. Non-transferability
This agreement is between the named Buyer and Breeder only and is not transferable.
