Our Process

Early Development Programme

Each puppy follows a carefully structured developmental framework during the first eight weeks of life.

This includes:

  • Early neurological stimulation
  • Early scent introduction
  • Gradual exposure to sounds, textures and environments
  • Positive interaction with humans and gentle dogs
  • Thoughtful navigation through the early fear period

Where weather permits, we begin introducing early toilet training foundations. Once developmentally appropriate puppies are also gently introduced to recall foundations, including whistle association.

These early stages are not guarantees of future behaviour. However, they provide valuable groundwork that supports confident development.

We recognise that each puppy is an individual. Some are naturally bold and energetic, while others are more observant and measured. Our role is to nurture these early traits appropriately and build confidence without overwhelming the puppy.

Matching Puppies to Homes

Responsible breeding includes responsible placement.

Puppies are not allocated purely on colour preference or order of enquiry. Temperament, energy levels and individual character are carefully observed throughout the first eight weeks before matching to families.

We breed traditional black and chocolate puppies, with black being our primary focus. Chocolate litters are produced occasionally where appropriate and where sufficient demand exists. Colour is never prioritised over health, structure or suitability.

Placing the right puppy with the correct owner is paramount.

Temperament assessments are based on observation during the puppy’s time with us. While adult personality cannot be predicted with certainty, early behavioural patterns provide helpful indicators when guiding suitable matches.

Visiting, Updates & Collection

As puppies are carefully assessed and matched by us, individual visits take place from six weeks of age onwards and are pre-arranged following approval.

Visits are limited to approximately one hour to avoid unnecessary stress and to protect feeding schedules, rest periods and ongoing development.

Weekly updates and photographs of the litter as a whole are provided so families can follow progress while maintaining a settled and structured environment for the puppies.

Puppies are ready to join their new homes at eight weeks of age. Collection is expected at eight weeks, or no later than nine weeks, to support appropriate transition during this key developmental period.

If collection within this timeframe cannot be accommodated, we will not proceed with placement.

Pricing & Reservation

The current purchase price for a Uniquesilk puppy is £2500

Due to limited availability, we operate a structured reservation process.

Prospective owners are asked to complete a detailed questionnaire and review our Puppy Purchase agreement before any reservation is accepted. This ensures full understanding of expectations and responsibilities prior to commitment.

Full reservation details are provided directly to approved applicants.

Enquiry & Application process

All initial enquiries receive an automatic acknowledgment email containing.

  • A detailed questionnaire
  • A copy of our Puppy Purchase Agreement
  • Information outlining our breeding standards and expectations.

We kindly ask that prospective owners read the Puppy Purchase Agreement in full before completing and returning the questionnaire. Once a completed questionnaire has been reviewed, suitable applicant will be contacted personally to arrange a telephone conversation. This allows us to discuss lifestyle, expectations and suitability in more detail.

This structured process helps ensure that every puppy is placed thoughtfully and responsibly.
