At Unique Silk Puppies we’ve been breeding dogs for over 30 years, with experience in many different breeds, Labradors, Cockapoos and West Island White Terriers to name a few.
Originally from Hertfordshire, we’re now based in beautiful rural Devon right on the border with Dorset and a stones throw from the sea at Lyme Bay on the Jurassic Coast.
This stunning scenic part of the world provides us with everything we need to give our dogs an amazing enriched life.
The dogs get to choose daily between walks (or swims!) at the sea side or inland treks in the lush green Forests we have on our doorstep, both providing them with an assault on the senses and constant stimulation enhancing their natural intrigue and curiosity to life.
Dogs have been a constant in both our lives since we were children. My best friend growing up, Marcus, our family Alsatian created a bond between myself and Dogs that has never been broken, and I often refer to my dogs as the Children I never had.
Giving my dogs and the puppies they produce everything they need to thrive and live out their best possible lives is core to everything I believe. They give us so much, it’s only right we do the same in return.
Breeding is something I get immense pleasure from. Bringing new life into the world and nurturing them for those first 8 weeks of life, giving them the very best start to life, no expense spared is an extremely fulfilling process. Delivering new born puppies into this world leaves you with an incredible feeling.
Although I’ve been doing this for over 30 years now, I’m always keen to progress my knowledge and have recently completed and achieved a Level 3 Certificate (Ofqual Regulated) in dog breeding, litter socialisation & welfare and am now looking to further my education even more.
We’ve also achieved a 5 Star higher standards licence rating from East Devon District Council, (License number 22/00072/LBREED)
